HoloLens

This particular brand of interactive technology is the first of its kind, as Microsoft created a holographic computer that allows you to engage with your digital content and interact with holograms around you. It utilises specialised components such as: multiple sensors, advanced optics and custom holographic processing units.

This can used in various ways due to the capabilities of the product itself and advanced software used within the Hololens. For example, this product can be used when training students in specific areas that require physical teaching such as: doctors, plumbing, architecture etc. With the Hololens a lecturer can teach a student the student through the use of a holographic image of the physical scenario they are working on. Aiding in correcting their mistakes and guiding them on succeeding within the comfort of their own home. Another use can be within a museum. The Hololens can be used to depict a holographic scene when the user comes face to face to models, creating a change in an individual’s viewing experience. As well as this, personalised holographic messages can be sent as well as business meeting that may concern physical objects such as: buildings, machinery or vehicles.

Innovative storytelling concepts have been the foreground of content management within marketing since the beginning of time, continuing to grow as our thirst for new technology and reliance on social media stems the narratives shared amongst the public. Time is a concept that seemed a distant philosophy until the inventions of the earlier time contraptions such as the sundial and hourglass. Yet, these inventions were open to the public. So, time wasn’t hidden only for the rich, for once! However, the grandfather clock – a piece of fine machinery that acts as decoration for the rich that individuals were on a pursuit to attain in order to keep up appearances back in the middle ages, was in contrast a privilege for only those that could afford it.
