HoverBoard

All the 1900’s kids would have either watched or heard of ‘Back to the Future.’ A classical science fiction movie that follows a kid and a crazy scientist on epic adventures taking them to both the past and future. Yet for me, (and I’m sure most of you will agree) I was always fascinated by the hoverboard that ‘Marty’ used to elude his enemies and even save the day with. That flying contraption which was seen to be an advanced version of a skateboard was always one of the highlights in my opinion to represent the movie itself.

The hoverboard is one of those objects that remind us of the past and future. Since this object is so generic it has been used in many classical movies but can also depict the future if we use the term ‘turning dreams into reality.’ Of course, the blockbusters such as Spiderman, where the Green Goblin was shown to be flying around on a ‘glider’ – similar to the hoverboard, Treasure Planet and even Static Shock. All these shows have all used some form of the hoverboard in their movies to add to their technical flair within the movie. Therefore, i believe the Hoverboard is one of the many generic objects that always seem to relate to the future.
Anyways, that just uptake on the hoverboard.

Time is a concept that seemed a distant philosophy until the inventions of the earlier time contraptions such as the sundial and hourglass. Yet, these inventions were open to the public. So, time wasn’t hidden only for the rich, for once! However, the grandfather clock – a piece of fine machinery that acts as decoration for the rich that individuals were on a pursuit to attain in order to keep up appearances back in the middle ages, was in contrast a privilege for only those that could afford it.
