Television Rant

Television. Let’s be honest. Can we really remember a time without the moving pictures to waste countless hours in front of? The millions of pixels have been around for god knows how long, starting from the black and white moving images to the 4 dimensional state that consume us till this day.
The brilliant invention thought of by none other than John Logie Biard, created the very first televisions in the early 1960’s. FINALLY venturing out from the plain black and white to the colourful reality. Thank god!!! I mean can you imagine friends in black and white -.-
Although there are many famous inventors that take credit for the invention of the television, adding colour just allowed television to venture towards a more realistic experience for its viewers. To further indulge ourselves in our cinematic lives, television went from odd films to daily television programmes to further take over our lives and distract us from our boring reality.
Then in August 1928, shit got real! 3-D was invented causing a hype all across the globe. Everyone wanted the realistic sound effects and motions to experience and enhance their overall cinematic viewing. Slowly branching out to 4-D and creating the ultimate experience with 4/5 senses being utilised. The only thing missing now would be taste. Who knows… Maybe in the future we would be lucky enough to taste the moist air from a high speed car chase to the fresh a delicious desert in a make believe tea party from Alice in Wonderland.
Until next time on my rant session.
